This is a very hands on role that will see you working with personnel in Brisbane, Melbourne and across the globe.
Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller will work closely with the Operations team and deliver accurate financial accounting, compliance and payroll processing, ensuring that robust procedures are developed and implemented as a launch pad for enabling business insight and strategic development.
The role will lead and manage the accounting, tax, payroll, reporting and controls for all entities within the Group. You will be expected to make sound decisions in areas of responsibility so both a leadership and hands-on approach is required.
The successful candidate will ideally be a go-getter with a strong ability to work proactively, autonomously and efficiently. As the role involves building and maintaining relationships with fellow staff from a range of cultures, you will hold exceptional interpersonal skills and strive to add value to the both the accounting department and organisation as a whole.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- CA or CPA qualification
- 3+ years experience in a similar role
- 6+ years total relevant work experience
- Experience in international tax
- Experience in accounting for digital currency and precious metals
- Strong attention to detail and task focused
- Experience using Xero software
- Outstanding communication skills
- Previous experience in systems development and implementation highly regarded
